“Intuition Is Everything”..… Oh how many times have we dismissed that gut instinct that was screaming to us to take action only to disregard it as wishful thinking or an impossibility. I say this in the context of following your dreams, changing careers, or just doing what you have always wanted to do but talked yourself out of it. Yes, our intuition is really spot on when it comes to reading others. I know everyone reading this blog has one time or another said to themselves that person can’t be trusted or I get a bad vibe when this person is in my presence. This is your intuition speaking loud and clear.
What about when your gut instinct is telling you to make changes for yourself one that would improve every aspect of your-life. So many times we let opportunities slip through our fingers because we don’t listen to the higher power that exists in each and every one of us. My point being that our intuition is always on 24/7. It is there for us in our dream state and is there for us regardless of the many external forces that impact our daily lives. Carl Jung the psychoanalyst whose work had a major influence on philosophy and religious studies was quoted as saying,” He who looks outside dreams…. He who looks inside awakes”. How profound his words are in relation to following our internal intuition as a guide to acquire happiness and success.
Oh, I can’t possibly accomplish my dreams or change my way of thinking because of this and of that and what about my, or how can I convince etc, etc, etc. “GUILTY”…time and time again…I did not listen to the voice within that was trying to guide me to a much happier stress reducing existence. How would this impact my finances, my family? Will I be making the right decision? What will others think of me? How will I find the time? What if I fail? There are many reasons why we talk ourselves out of change and blatantly ignore our inner voice……drum roll please….. the number one factor is FEAR. Fear stifles us and prevents us from growth. The only way to grow is to change. Stepping out of that comfort zone is scary. Most people are creatures of habit and would rather stay in a rut than listen to their inner voice screaming for them to take that leap of faith. Listen to your inner intuition, never let self-defeating negative thoughts keep you from achieving your goals and dreams.
